It is not possible for me to be there...and that breaks my heart. Temple Israel was the spiritual home for me and my family since 1955, and Janet is the one family member who has remained constant at the Temple until today. She has contributed superabundantly to the children of the Temple during her 44 years of teaching. I wish I could be there in person to celebrate this well deserved recognition of her service. Is it too much of a stretch to ask Janet to visualize me and her daughter Michal sitting there in the front row wildly applauding?...because we will be there in spirit....
Mom, would you like to write something that can be read at the service? If you'd like to and feel up to it, i would find it very meaningful. And thank you for a post on your blog. I'm honored!

What a pity.

ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea, Jan. That way I could be present in my absence. I will try.
