Mom came, conquered, and left. A whirlwind three day trip! In that time we:
- went to the zoo and watched animals open their presents
- went to K'tonton, the religious school family program, and Xander made his own individually-colored wax menorah
- made sugar cookies
- ate latkes and played dreidel
- ate more fruit than ever grew in an orchard
- played with cars, trains, baby dolls, paint and crayons, and played lots of mini piano
- oh yes, and I also wore silly menorah hats and ran a great teacher development meeting on kinesthetic learning
The pictures are mounting up, one batch on top of the other. One of these days...
What an exciting mix of Bubby-spiced celebrations for Hanukkah! Lookin' forward to seein' the pics!

And what a fabulous trip it was!!!!! Between singing Hanukah songs and eating Jonathan's delicious latkes (I was even able to eat 1/2 a latke!), Xander building pirate ships with Daddy, Ari giving hugs and planting lots of wet, open mouth kisses on cheeks, listening to Xander's favorite classical music, watching Xander's joy in GIVING Hanukah gifts as well as receiving them, and being loved by this wonderful family, it was a wonderful whirlwind weekend. And of course, I'm content having left cooked chicken, freshly made salad, and lots of berries in the fridge! Can't wait to see everyone again!
