Xander in his new classroom last week, in what we're calling his "artist" shot. I love his intensity! (And yes, everyone... he got a haircut a few days after this was taken).
Ari, with those many insignias on his jacket, looks to me like a forest ranger, eyes wide, and happily alert to all the sounds, sights, smells and wonder of the surrounding wilderness for which he is responsible.
Can that be a PHOTO of Xander? It appears more like a painted portrait of an artist deep in spiritual reflection. Those eyes engage mine!
How I love those two fellas, my GREAT great-grandsons.
These 2 wonderful boys just fill my heart with joy. No more to say except thanks for how grateful I am that you continue to post even when I get too busy to comment. I love you all so much. Mom/Bubby
Still laughing over your haircut comment. It's good when a rabbi can anticipate congregants' questions! hahahaha Xander is handsome with short or long hair. And I LOVE Ari's long hair. Of course, I tend to like long hair on guys. Loving you all, Mom/Bubby
I'm definitely with you, Michal, on the long hair on guys issue.
Both your little guys have the most gorgeous hair, on the extremes of the Curly to Smooth-Silky scale. And the scissors will enhance their sensational beauty.
I grew up in the 60s and 70s, honey, and long hair on guys was in. I still like it in most cases. I like short hair on guys too but really don't like short, short hair. Grandpa used to get his own as well as Uncle Joe's hair cut really REALLY short in the summer...a buzz cut....and I HATED it. He even buzzed the poor dog one year and it was terrible. Poor Candy, our cocker spaniel, was so embarrassed she refused to come out from under the dining room table. Overall, I appreciate well groomed hair, even long.
