It was 102 degrees. Ari needed a break after all that building!

Hi brother!
I went to go get pizza, so missed the pictures of putting up the roof. But voila, a sukkah!
After decorating with the kids.
More decorations.
Ari kept driving the car in and out.
Me relaxing. The whole project took about 3 hours, and that's including a trip to Home Depot because we were short one pole. I bet next time, without the learning curve, it will take less than 2. All hail the klutz-proof sukkah from the Sukkah Project!
And finally, what sukkahs are for: the next night we invited family over to join us! Here are Dorothy and John learning about about Sukkot over our lovely Italian dinner.

ReplyDeleteThis is the BEST Sukkot that I have ever celebrated because I am in the fantabulous Sukkah built by Loving/Help hands in the backyard of Rabbi Michal Loving's home.
ReplyDeleteThe essence of Sukkot is a joyful experience. We express our thanks for the bounty of our harvest with hospitality. We acknowledge that this frail strcture, with the roof open to the stars, eminds us that we are strongest when we are at ONE with the world around us.
Take a look at Xander, Ari Asher and Shoshie -- what a bountiful harvest!!!
Chag Sameach!!! Happy Holiday!!!!
